The Red Cross Northwest Arkansas Chapter, originally chartered in 1918 as the Washington County Chapter, is the local service delivery unit of the American National Red Cross. Today, the Northwest Arkansas Chapter serves literally thousands of people annually in just the seven counties we currently serve and this will increase dramatically as we expand our efforts across northern Arkansas. Our primary program areas include disaster relief, disaster preparedness education, health and safety education, armed forces emergency services, and international services. Red Cross services are available to anyone in the community without regard to age, gender, education or income level. While some of the safety classes have a fee, all disaster services, disaster preparedness trainings, and services provided to military families are absolutely free of charge. Many health and safety classes and youth classes are free as well and reduced fees are always available when there is financial need.
The Northwest Arkansas Home Builders Association was chartered in 1960 and represents all areas of the home building industry and related trades and professions. The organization provides local home building industry professionals an atmosphere for networking and information sharing among members. With well over 300 members in Washington and Benton counties, the Northwest Arkansas Home Builders Association is a united association of home building professionals committed to providing quality homes and neighborhoods in Northwest Arkansas.
